More Free Effects
Here are some more free effects. This list contains some very creative plugins.
Azurite: is a multi-voice chorus with a focus on rich sounds and versatile controls. This is a really nice chorus
Acon Digital Multiply: is a free and versatile chorus effect with a unique twist. Each simulated voice is processed with a phase randomizing filter so that unpleasant comb filter effects are avoided. The effect can be used to simulate the effect of several performers playing the same tones simultaneously
Chorus-Ch2: is a chorus effect with a high-quality modulation engine with an original graphical interface.
HY-Plugins: offers a free set of good quality modulation effects that will enhance any audio track.
SupaPhaser: is a nice Phaser plugin
Phazor: is a free effect plugin, which emulates the phaser effect found in the Virus synthesizers, which helped make its characteristic sound.
Tal Flanger: is a basic flanger that comes in a 32 bit and 64 bit version
Beta Bugs: I don’t like bugs, but I like these bugs. Beta Bugs always sound good to me. There are several free ones to choose from.
epicVerb reverberation: is another great plugin from variety of sound
Mo’Verb: is a reverberator, based on original algorithms, combining simulation of spring and digital reverbs.
Abstract Chamber: is a super-simple reverb plugin, at least as far as interface goes. It is designed for longer modulated reverbs, while trying to maintain a natural yet abstract spatial impression.
Retro Delay: is a flexible all around delay effect in VST format. It has the character and sound of a vintage delay unit but features many modern options. Besides delays, it can produce a wide range of modulation, chorus, flanger and phaser effects
TAL-Dub: is a vintage style delay effect. It can be used for a wide range of delay effects from clean to extreme distorted, and resonating never ending delays.
WatKat: is a digital “clone” of a Wem Watkins “Custom” Copicat. It sounds very lo-fi, noisy, irregular. When you turn it off and leave the tape loaded, the tape bends in proximity of the capstan, and this turns into a periodic pitch fall during echo playback;
Hysteresis: features a delay effect with stutter, lowpass filter and modulation effects thrown into the feedback signal path. This is a very cool plugin. Hysteresis is a free glitch delay plugin geared toward creating robotic artifacts and abstract musical malfunctions.
GVST: has made some great plugins. These are all pretty simple to use and they all well. Here is their delay
Free Amp modeler Software
Here is a collection of free amp modeler software. These guitar amps are pretty good in quality. Just click on the link and download from the vendor’s site. They will work inside your DAW software.
Ace: is a faithful digital emulation of a legendary 1950s, American, all tube, tweed, 5W amp. We have added to the model two of the most common amplifier mods: adjustment of the amount of feedback and addition of grid stopper resistors, both of which can be turned off for the original amp sound.
GUITAR RIG 5 PLAYER: is the free modular and expandable effects processor from Native Instruments, combining creative effects routing possibilities with ease-of-use and pristine sound quality. The included FACTORY SELECTION library provides one stunning amp with 17 cabinet emulations, plus 13 effects and sound modifiers to shape and enhance any audio signal.
AmpliTube Custom Shop: This is an app that is free, and contains 24 pieces of gear to start. When you download and register/authorize the software, you’ll get a fully functioning “standalone” app with a built-in 4 track recorder, plus you get the plug-in version for your favorite DAW. AmpliTube is an awesome Amp sim program. You can buy more gear from the Custom Shop to add to your collection.

LePou Plugins: is Another set of great amp plugins. There are several amps that you can use.
ampLion Free: is another free amp sim that is given out with the hope that you will like it and try their other models. It sounds pretty good
Amplifikation Lite: allows you to create incredible sounding guitar tones simply by plugging your guitar into your audio interface or your computer’s sound card input.
BTE: has a free vintage overdrive amp and a free high gain electric guitar amp
Boogex: by Voxengo. Boogex is a guitar amplifier plug-in with a variety of sound shaping features for professional music production applications. With Boogex it is possible to get a heavy distorted sound as well as slight “jazzy” saturation sound.
Audified GK Amplification 2 LE; is the Light version of GK Amplification 2 Pro. This plug-in and a standalone application including exact model of Gallien-Krueger MB150 amp and a GK speaker. It can be used as a standalone application or VST/AAX/AU plug-in.

G-tune: If we are going to have guitar plug-ins then I think a Tuner would be most helpful. Here is a tuner for your guitar. This site contains a lot of other plug-ins too. So look around and see if there is anything else you can use.
